Also: fun fact. This happened about a year after the Rover SD1 that they’re driving stopped production. SD1s were so popular with UK cops that several police forces -including the Met - stockpiled final-year cars, meaning “new” ones were entering service in to the 90s.

Things have changed somewhat since.
London has air ambulances, fast response trauma team cars for when helicopter use isn’t favourable.
They do like their Skodas.
and blood and some donors parts are carried by volunteer or NHS Blood cars or bikes.

Yes. The government is changing it so it’s an opt out thing to be a donor, rather than an opt in, as it is at present so there will be even more.
